It's not super bright but adequate.
From the "Price-Performance" standpoint, these solar lamp posts are at the top of the stack! I needed an easy to illuminate a turntable which is mounted inside a closet. I mounted it outdoors and protected from immediate weather conditions on front porch at head-height, and the light looks good. I installed it and was extremely dissatisfied. A month after I had this it got water within the "sealed" housing from a couple of light rains. It provides just enough light to get there securely. Because they sit on all day long, the batteries drain in a few days.
Additionally a good steplight if you do not mind how awkward it looks. Motion sensors work perfectly.
If you are seeking spotlighting or to avoid stumbling on your patio furniture, this is actually the ideal choice. It has more "bulbs" that equally priced choices at a nearby big box building supply. Constructive experience. When putting in the mounting plate, make sure to have 2-3 inches of space over the top of rim of the plate to be able to slide the light in position. This is fantastic in a closet, attic or even a baby room vs a nightlight: placed on the ground or even under the crib, I believe this would illuminate a nursery enough to change a diaper and check on the sleeping kid without making the area as bright as turning on a little bureau lamp. Now I'm going to find an additional solution. It was not exposed to the weather yet so I have no idea if what the other critiques say about this not being water-resistant holds true, we'll see. We picked up this Fulcrum "Light-It" porch light based on the suggestion of a buddy.
Is effective for lighting up the entire side of the house where the trash cans are. There's no place in this spot to drive a nail. Install this inside a location that's sheltered from rain dripping onto it.
The plastic mounting plate has two #4 screws, and the light is definitely removable from the mounting plate. I personally use one in the bathroom to turn on the light and we have a dark entry and stair well with hands full of bags it is good to have a light. If you live where there are any trees within fifty feet of the light or the wind blows, This light is rubbish. This movement sensor light is good.
Sensor dome popped off, and light stopped working.
My home is an extremely windy area and even on the least sensitive setting with the movement detector pointed towards the ground this light will activate.
No mechanical issues with the two I used.
I'm going to be purchasing a few more personally for the lawn and placement near the circuit main panel in the cellar.

Set up was a breeze with the two screws and anchors supplied. I suppose it never occured to me that one may want a light to come on when it had been light. OUTSIDE LIGHTS FOR HOUSE. It isn't a lot brighter than a night light. I needed a switch-less light for the garage on dark winter mornings and this has performed well. Driveway Lighting.
