Healthcare Administration's Code of Ethics: Part 2

By Franklin Skribbit

This post is in continuation of Healthcare Administration's Code of Ethics: Part 1. These posts are designed to help you understand the basic expectations for each person that seeks a career in healthcare administration.

Web design and development is one of the fields that are growing rapidly. When you are skilled within the field of web design and development, you will find that it is much easier to find a job than in many other fields.

The third thing you must do in healthcare administration is to be sure you best represent the facility and its residents as best you can. One of your number one priorities should be to maintain the reputation and working professionalism of the office in which you work.

Reading through the different statistics about the majors can also be wise. There are a lot of people that do not realize that they can do research and look into statistics that have been gathered about the specific majors at your school.

If they witness you do doing anything that they deem to be immoral, or hear you complaining about something that the other doctor did then they could begin to lose trust in you, and more importantly the company. If they can find even the slightest hypocrisy in the things you claim, you lose that person's trust forever. It is nearly impossible to recover from that with that customer in the future. It is therefore, an incredibly important rule to keep in healthcare administration.

The fourth and final ethic you must keep is to constantly encourage the development and improvement of healthcare administration. Although it is nice to be the most popular administrator around, it is far more important that you foster the improvement of educating others in the field.

Your ultimate goal is to find better, more efficient ways of providing care to the people in general. If you keep all of your knowledge to yourself, how can you hope to make a difference in the lives of real people?

While you are learning your skills, you will want to keep a tab of what you are learning. Take the time that you need to be sure that you keep your skills up to ensure that you are going to be able to preform while you are on the job.

When you freelance, you may find that you are also responsible for creating the content that is viewed by those that visit the website. Being able to produce quality content and incorporate it on the website will ensure that your customers are happy with their website.

Throughout your education in web design and development, you will also want to do some networking. Meet people that are successful in the field and learning from them can positively influence your career path and even your education.

Being self-sufficient is a great way to keep your job. Answer your own questions and keep yourself working hard throughout the time that you are employed to ensure that you are making great use of your computer programming degree.
