Army Spouses make great sacrifices to be a partner and support our squaddies. Because of that, the military has established programs to try to help ease the burden. Schooling Help programs are available for army spouses to keep on their education without all of the financial pressures that come with coughing up for it. This post is meant to share some of the possibilities available to us.
Although each programme is not the same as each other however , they have similar goals. The planned aim is to provide each better half member with business help so that they can have good opportunities for career through education.
If you are an Army Partner or connected with one, this post is for you:
Financial support for Sea and Navy Corps spouses program:STAP the Navy's Better half Teaching Aid Programme offers both Maine and Navy spouses who are living abroad with their military member they're granted with the facility i.e. Up to 50% of discount on the tuition for teaching schemes. Additionally, it has got a limit of 300 dollars per term plus does not exceed 1500 greenbacks per year. There's no need to attend classes for full day.
Navy Marine Corps Relief Society Administered covers full graduate programme at high per term rate/per-year at the maximum.
The Air Force has their copy of Navy's Partner Tuition Help Programme. While alike to the Sea/Navy programme, because it has a limit of $1500 per educational year. It has got a dissimilar twist. Its main aim is to provide partial tuition help through granting up to 50 pc.s of the charges for schooling.
Military Tutoring Assistance program:
As the Regiment has 2 spouse's assistance programme for tuition. Where one is for the spouse's member who is stationed abroad and another one for those in the state. It completely is dependent on your need, the Overseas Spouse Education Help Program (OSEAP) funded education should be finished while the spouse is living abroad with her or his military member. Overseas Better half Education Help Program always gives 1/2 the tuition charge i.e. Up to $540 per term or $2700 each year.
The Stateside Better half Education Assistance Programme (SEAP) is rather like OSEAP programme as it also depends on your need. The dissimilarity, nevertheless, is it is only available to the spouses who are:
1. Squaddies who died on duty.
2. Retired squaddies.
3. Active duty staff stationed stateside.
4. Retired squaddies who have died.
Both programs are administered by AER (Military Emergency Relief) and cover vocational training programs or undergraduate. Military Emergency Relief has consolidated the SEAP and OSEAP beginning with the 2012-2013 school year. You can read some more about the consolidation here.
Army Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) :This programme is funded by the Dept of Defense (DoD), and offers tutoring help for an army better half chasing a career - often in education, business administration & health services, since these roles are generally found at pretty much each army base. Active duty spouses could apply for an award $3,000 for two year of university.
My main purpose for sharing this info is this: the army is changing. Budget cuts and reductions are coming. This isn't a scare method. When budgets get reduced, the first things to go are programs like these. Don't sleep on this thinking that 'it will always be there'.
